With a forecast of continuous downpour in the Cyberabad region, police officials have urged companies to consider implementing work-from-home (WFH) measures on Tuesday, July 22, to avoid disruptions.
In an official statement, the Cyberabad Police announced a weather-related alert citing expected heavy rainfall, which could result in traffic bottlenecks and hinder emergency operations. Officials stated that allowing employees to work remotely would help reduce congestion and ensure essential services remain unaffected.
"To support public safety and maintain productivity, organizations are advised to facilitate WFH arrangements for the day," the advisory said. "This step will ease movement for emergency teams and prevent avoidable gridlocks."
The directive comes amid continuous monsoon activity across Telangana, which has already prompted multiple weather warnings by the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
